Difference between the flow of intrinsic and extrinsic information

Flow of Intrinsic information
1. Information passes from genetic material to cytoplasm of the same cell
2. Flow of information is controlled by internal environment of the cell.
3. It helps in the production of a polypeptide either for structural or enzymatic function.

Flow of Extrinsic information
1. Flow of information is from outside to the interior of a cell.
2. Flow of information is controlled by extra cellular environment.
3. It activates a gene or a preformed enzymatic system.
